Mission Statement:

"To create theatrical productions to a professional level for our contemporary world that facilitates discussions and leaves audiences more artistically fulfilled, all while compensating artists for their hard work, and to be a facilitating force to allow other groups and individuals to do the same."

At Penguin Productions, we’re on a mission to change the world for the better. Central to our mission is the belief that diversity and inclusion are catalysts for meaningful change. We advocate for equality, justice, and equity in all our initiatives. Our commitment to diversity is woven into the very fabric of our organization, from our leadership to our volunteers. Together, we’re making strides toward a more inclusive society where everyone’s rights are protected, and everyone’s voice is heard.

Why Penguin?

Penguins serve not only as our mascot but also as our inspiration. They are stoic and endlessly hardworking, putting everything they have into the teamwork and community they are a part of. At the same time, they are absurd and ridiculous, waddling with the best of them. We strive to embody both sides of the penguin, hardworking and fun-loving!

About the Company

Penguin Productions is a local non-profit theatre company located just outside of Newberg, Oregon. Since our first season in 2017, we have strived to entertain and inspire our community by producing theater for a contemporary world. To that end, we are dedicated to creating a diverse ensemble of artists and technicians for each season. Currently operating on an outdoor stage nestled in a field of hazelnut trees, Penguin Productions offers professional-quality shows in the heart of scenic wine country.

Prepare for the Show

Our outdoor theater currently has seating available, but please bring portable chairs or blankets to sit on if you wish for your comfort. It is recommended you arrive ~15min before the start of the performance to ensure ideal seating. The shows conclude after dark, so remember to bring a warm sweater or blanket just in case. We encourage our patrons to bring a picnic dinner to enjoy prior to and during the show. Additionally, wine will be available for purchase for our guests of legal drinking age and light snacks for all. To have your questions answered, please feel free to contact us here
